The winter is upon us and those long days of being locked inside the warm house started. I love being inside and get cozy of a night with a nice book, but to be honest with you I like to do that once or twice a week. I like to be active. In the summer, I spend my days in the garden but now it is cold and I am wondering what can I do inside.
One sunny winter morning I took the dog for a walk and saw the home improvement center in our neighborhood. Straight away, I was enlightened – I was going to do a major winter home improvement. I rushed back home, left the dog jumped in the car and off I went back to the home improvement center. On the way, I have decided to renovate my kitchen. Recently I was feeling unhappy cooking in it and now I have the time and money to renovate it. I was thinking of checking the prices first and the advices of the specialists in the store and then deciding whether to completely renovate the kitchen or to just do some slight repairs.
As I entered the shop, the girls at the information desk greeted me. They politely asked me what I wanted and when I told them, they called a person that was dealing with kitchen renovations to help me choose the right package for me. On the way to the kitchen section, we were talking and the guy explained to me that if the kitchen is not that old we can just do some refreshment. I was agreeing with everything. Of course, when we got to the brand new kitchens I have decided that the renovation is going to be complete. We chose together carefully the kitchen cabinets and the flooring. Unfortunately there was no way I could use my DIY (do it yourself) abilities so I asked the guy to recommend me a master. He said that it is better to get different masters for the different areas of the kitchen so I know that the job is done properly. I contacted the masters and arranged for them to arrive after 3 days. That would give me enough time to get rid of the old kitchen and flooring and prepare the room for them. Once the room was stripped and the guys arrived the show began. They were experts and the only thing I had to do is make them brew and sit back and relax. After a week, the work was done and the result was one brand new perfectly fitted kitchen.
I am so glad that I used the winter to do that as I really have a lot of spare time. I am even thinking to start with the bedroom next but we will see. I advise you all to use your home improvement centers as they have it all.
